About Wendy

Wendy Gabbe Day is a Coordinator for Northwest VEG, an organization dedicated to bringing awareness to the power of a veg lifestyle. She is also a Personal Trainer and former Division 1 college athlete.
Wendy played college basketball at University of California, Irvine and graduated with honors in 2003. Her interest in health and fitness began at an early age, and was further impressed upon her during her collegiate career. While balancing the rigors of athletic training and academic studies, she knew that in order to be successful, her diet could not be compromised. It was her vegan lifestyle that provided the energy and stamina she needed throughout her collegiate career. She was awarded 1st team All-Conference honors, as well as the Big West Conference’s Scholar-Athlete of the year.
A vegetarian since birth and a vegan since the age of 5, Wendy was exposed to a holistic, natural approach to health and wellness from a very early age. Her father, David Gabbe, is a vegan cooking instructor and author of vegan cookbooks. David and Wendy’s mom, Carolyn, became vegetarians in the late 1970s.
